GOFit ("the app", "we") helps you track workouts and strength progress. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. The short version: your data is yours, we collect only what the app needs to function, we don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising or tracking.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and a password, used only to create and sign in to your account.
- Profile details you choose to provide — such as name, age, height, weight, sex, and training goals. These personalize your recommendations and strength-standard comparisons.
- Fitness data you log — workouts, exercises, sets, weights, reps, personal records, notes, and related training history.
- Group content you choose to share — if you join a lift group, the messages, personal records, and training-status updates you explicitly share are visible to members of that group. Nothing is shared with a group unless you choose to share it.
How your information is used
- To provide the app's features: workout logging, progression recommendations, charts, and groups.
- To back up your data so you can sign in on a new device and keep your history.
We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not share your data with third parties except the infrastructure provider below.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored locally on your device and backed up to our database hosted by Supabase, which acts as our cloud infrastructure provider. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and protected by per-user access controls: your account can only read and write its own data.
Data retention & deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete all app data from Profile → Reset all data inside the app. To delete your account and its cloud backup entirely, contact us at the email below and we will remove it.
Children
GOFit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
